Cleric says suicide bombers poised to kill cartoonists
PESHAWAR: A local cleric who offered $1 million and a car for the death of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) cartoonists said on Wednesday that suicide bombers had volunteered to “kill the blasphemers”. Yousaf Qureshi, the imam, or prayer leader, at the 300-year-old Mohabat Khan mosque in Peshawar, announced the reward on Friday. “The Prophet Muhammad’s blasphemers will not live and there are mujahideen who visited me to assure that such people will not be allowed to live for their unpardonable act,” the cleric told a ........click here for entire story
Ya, I do believe Muhammad had more of a sense of humor than his followers.

Hamas

Click here to watch Hamas video. The Hamas website this week presented the parting video messages of two Hamas suicide terrorists. One message was for Jews, whose blood Hamas promises to drink until Jews "leave the Muslim countries," and the second to a mother, as she helps dress her son for battle prior to his suicide terror mission.

This is why I support President Bush's Global War on Terror.

Enough said.

God Bless America and God Bless Our Troops!

This has to be one of the best videos that I've seen honoring our troops!

Click here to view, don't forget to turn up your sound!

I am looking forward to 2/19 at 9:00 a.m. when a tape of Saddam will be reviewed where he talks about getting rid of his WMD.........developing

It appears, as NSA has confirmed that the voice on the tape is indeed Saddam; that yes, indeed there were WMD, and there were plans to utilize these weapons.

The Cartoon is Mightier Than The Sword

Cartoons from the Arab world.

The Dutch Cartoons.

You decide.

Freedom of Journalistic Revenge?

"IRAN'S largest selling newspaper announced today it was holding a contest on cartoons of the Holocaust in response to the publishing in European papers of caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed."It will be an international cartoon contest about the Holocaust," said Farid Mortazavi, the graphics editor for Hamshahri newspaper - which is published by Teheran's conservative municipality.
He said the plan was to turn the tables on the assertion that newspapers can print offensive material in the name of freedom of expression....."

"Mr Mortazavi said tomorrow's edition of the paper will invite cartoonists to enter the competition, with "private individuals" offering gold coins to the best 12 artists - the same number of cartoons that appeared in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten."

My bet is that you will not see Jewish neighborhoods burning their city's buildings and acting ugly in the streets. I bet there will be no "Death Threats" issued against Muslim cartoonists.

The whole contest idea just appears very ironic after the violent outbursts and outrage.

Please Read SteyneOnline

The Perils of Sensitivity by Mark Steyne

snip
Thus, NBC is celebrating Easter this year with a special edition of the gay sitcom "Will & Grace," in which a Christian conservative cooking-show host, played by the popular singing slattern Britney Spears, offers seasonal recipes -- "Cruci-fixin's." On the other hand, the same network, in its coverage of the global riots over the Danish cartoons, has declined to show any of the offending artwork out of "respect" for the Muslim faith.
Which means out of respect for their ability to locate the executive vice president's home in the suburbs and firebomb his garage.
Jyllands-Posten wasn't being offensive for the sake of it. They had a serious point -- or, at any rate, a more serious one than Britney Spears or Terence McNally. The cartoons accompanied a piece about the dangers of "self-censorship" -- i.e., a climate in which there's no explicit law forbidding you from addressing the more, er, lively aspects of Islam but nonetheless everyone feels it's better not to.
That's the question the Danish newspaper was testing: the weakness of free societies in the face of intimidation by militant Islam.

Take a Look at the Islamic Video Released in Regards to the Cartoon Outrage

Please click here to get directed to a video that will show you to what extent Muslims will go over a cartoon.

You won't see this Muslim violence and destruction and death threats to cartoonists over a beheading, or gassing of a people, or killing of school children.........

I just about choked on my coffee this a.m. when I heard someone on Fox say that perhaps the cartoons should not have been published..........

Excuse me.............but my religion has been the victim of political satire and editorial cartoons for years.......Why is it that the Muslim's get special treatment?

Making Political Points with Satire

I've slighly changed this post......I have never been one to be a bigot, but I do like a good sense of humor. Yesterday I linked potfry's site in this post, last night I took it down, and this a.m., I'm putting it back.

After deep thought; potfry's humor and style wins out!

a snip from potfry:

An angry protest in the West Bank over an unflattering cartoon of the prophet Mohammed was extensively delayed today when the angry mob realized they had no idea what the flag of Denmark looked like or where to find one.

end snip

He makes my point exactly; but does it with humor. I believe in times like those we live in today; Humor will get us through. I also find it hilarious that Muslim's will burn down an embassy over an editorial cartoon and will do nothing over a beheading, killing of school children in Russia, the blowing up of a wedding, a gassing of people........

So have at the world Potfry, we all need laugh!

And Beheadings would be acceptable?

"These cartoons are indeed offensive to the belief of Muslims," State Department spokesman Kurtis Cooper said in answer to a question. "We all fully recognize and respect freedom of the press and expression but it must be coupled with press responsibility. Inciting religious or ethnic hatreds in this manner is not acceptable."

I find beheadings, mass murders, gassing of people, intentions of wiping Israel off the face of the map offensive. When I see outrage from the same Muslims, who are outraged over editorial cartoons.............well then maybe we will talk.

Democratic Response to the State of the Union?

"The Trouble with Hillary" by columnist Kurt Andersen pretty much covered the waterfront of why Clinton is disdained by so many New York liberals. She is "all about cool calculation and calibration in service of the main chance", Anderson wrote, but unlike her husband, who was equally calculating, she lacks his charm and appearance of sincerity. One problem Clinton has is that no one likes her. "She has cold, staring eyes," one of my dinner companions remarked. She comes across as "wooden, priggish, cold, too much super-ego and too little id," says Andersen (Ann Summers)

SEND IN THE CLOWNS

(pic from Strange Politics.com)
"I'm proud that Cindy's my guest tonight," Woolsey said in an interview before the speech. "She has made a difference in the debate to bring our troops home from Iraq."
Woolsey offered Sheehan a ticket to the speech _ Gallery 5, seat 7, row A _ earlier Tuesday while Sheehan was attending an "alternative state of the union By LAURIE KELLMAN

What was Representative Woolsey thinking when she invited Cindy Sheehan to the State of the Union Address? Woolsey's judgement can only be described in one word, 'MOCKERY'.

Woolsey's decision to invite Sheehan was just about as thoughtful as the Democratic leader's invite to Michael Moore to sit in their Presidential box at the Democratic Convention.

It is hard for me to believe that there was no one else in Representative Woolsey's district that was far more deserving of that guest pass. I believe Woolsey has slapped her constituency in the face with the Sheehan invite.

The left continue to give seats of honor to those who continually mock the United States. Guilty by association!
