Summer Reading that Won't Tax you to Death

http://www.fairtax.org/

Neal Boortz's FairTax Book is flying off the shelves this summer. I noticed a young man at the BP gas station cash register was reading it, at the beach this past week, I noticed several people lying in the sun reading this book. Everyone I talk with who has read the book, is in favor of the plan. It's well written, and easy to understand.

Important facts people will glean while reading this book:

Say goodbye to the death tax, the gift tax, Social Security taxes, Medicare taxes, the Alternative Minimum Tax, capital gains taxes and the trouble of filling out tax forms;

Go enjoy life on April 15th, You'll have the time!

That American corporations who have fled overseas to escape our crushing tax system can be brought home again;

Invest and save with no federal tax consequences whatsoever;

That the trillions of dollars that are working in offshore financial centers, again to escape our crushing taxes, can be brought back to work in the American economy again;

That we don't need to spend $500 billion a year to comply with an obscene tax code;

And that all of this can be accomplished while eliminating the federal tax burden on the poor, and without increasing the cost of living for everyone else.

If you haven't read this book yet, you have a couple of weeks to get it into your summer reading list.

Maddie, why do you think it is that when a poor man gets help from the government it's called welfare, and when a rich man gets it, it is called something like economic incentive, or tax break, or some such thing? What sort of welfare for the rich are you and your parents getting? Why don't you think me and my paycheck? You are welcome, Maddie.
