The Brits are such a kind and tolerant people, but sometimes I really fear for them, that their tolerance will lead them to tolerate something that eventually destroys their tolerant society. Take the current debate about clamping down on foreign nationals who preach support here for terrorists and suicide bombers. Prime Minister Blair has proposed legislation to have them deported to their own country. Yet there is a vocal group here that says "Oh no, you can't do that, not if their own country is somewhere where they could be tortured".Now I sometimes feel that I'm tempted to see everything in shades of grey. But there are some issues that are so black-and-white, they are "no-brainers".
If you come from a country where you are likely to be tortured, then when you go as a Guest to another country, isn't it plain common sense to keep your head down and your mouth shut, rather than preach violence against your Hosts and risk getting kicked out?
If your home government wants to torture you and another country grants you shelter, what sort of Guest are you if you advocate violence against your Host?
Are the only people to be punished for advocating violence the ones who come from benign countries; are you to be immune if you come from a country with no human rights?
Perhaps people who advocate terrorism, and governments that torture, deserve each other; indeed, they are a "marriage made in Hell".
The Brits do need to wake up that in this particular game of Cricket, they are not playing Australia. They are playing the Talibaan, who bowl with grenades and bat with AK47's.

We should wake up to, people who don't appreciate the country they are in, have a lot to learn. America has a lot to be proud of, and people that put her down, are way out of line, and anyone caught planning terrorist tasks, or funding terrorists should be thrown out!
