Senator Ted Kennedy was quoted yesterday saying, "If the President abuses his power and nominates someone who threatens to roll back the rights and freedoms of the American people, then the American people will insist that we oppose that nominee and we intend to do so.'
I think it is important to remember here, which members of the Supreme Court were responsible for the last two rulings on the the Ten Commandments and Kelo.
Pelosi yesterday on Kelo, " It is a decision of the Supreme Court. If Congress wants to change it, it will require legislation of a level of a constitutional amendment. So this is almost as if God has spoken. It's an elementary discussion now. They have made the decision. When asked the following questions, "Do you think it is appropriate for municipalities to be able to use eminent domain to take land for economic development? Pelosi answered, "The Supreme Court has decided, knowing the particulars of this case, that was appropriate, and so I would support that. "

As we move forward with Supreme Court nominees.......we must realize the importance of these appointments. We must not let fools like Pelosi, Kennedy, Reid, et al, distract this process. We must not settle. We need someone who will protect our rights and U.S. Constitution.
