The Red Crystal
The new proposed "Red Cross" emblem to be used in Israel is called the Red Crystal. It would be added to the currently used identifying emblems the Red Cross and Red Crescent.
Yifrach said support for Israel within the international Red Cross has grown dramatically in recent years, and he expected almost all of the Red Cross organizations to approve the new symbol. Dr. Noam Yifrach, chairman of Magen David Adom, said Israeli aid workers would be able to insert a Star of David symbol into the crystal when working overseas. American backing, by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice' and Sen. Hillary Clinton' D-N.Y., have helped to pave the way for this this new symbol and Israel's inclusion. A conference will be held in Switzerland this December to discuss and perhaps approve this new symbol.
HMMM... Red Cross, Red Crescent, Red Crystal.................Why don't they just call it Red? That way they could avoid stepping on anyone else's religion. LOL! People sure worry the wrong problems! I'm waiting for the ACLU to take the Red Cross to task in America to remove the cross; if the ACLU had it's way there would be no emblem; just a white ambulance. No if the ACLU had it's way it couldn't be a white ambulance; that might offend people of colors.

the dilution of all that is right is brought upon by political correctness...........the red cross should be represented by the red cross......we began our decline with the crescent and soar futher into the depths with the red crystal
