Talk about Staging and Scripting
In one of television's inadvertently funny moments, the NBC News correspondent was paddling in a canoe during a live report about flooding in Wayne, N.J. While she talked, two men walked between her and the camera _ making it apparent that the water where she was floating was barely ankle-deep.
Matt Lauer struggled to keep a straight face, joking about the "holy men" who were walking on water.
"Have you run aground yet?" Katie Couric asked. (google news)
reminds me of the exaggerated leans into the wind during hurricane coverage. A reporter was leaning quite strongly to his right, when a petite woman walks into the camera background standing very erect......quite comical.
These are the same people that make a big story out of the scripting of the interview between the soldiers in Iraq and President Bush. Of course the minimal rehearsal that was done, was primarily to instruct the soldiers to whom and where to pass the microphone, who would answer what questions, etc. It was done to insure the interviews ran smoothly.

I loved that bit. They showed the clip on Fox News. The ever credible liberal media is once again up the creek without a paddle.
me too ! LOL
Mayor Nagel was asked during the flood,"What do you think about Roe vsWade"? He replied, "I don't care how they get out of New Orleans."
