A X B = Disaster

There is no way to orderly evacuate major cities.

A Bitter Pill, Swallow it.

There are only so many routes in and out of major cities; and we are dealing with "people" which when massed together in any circumstances will create problems.

We've created all of our own problems. Do the math and find that in most cases there is No solution.

So let's quit with the blame.

Let's just look back on these past 2 September hurricanes and say, Thank you God, for sparing us. Survivors should not spend their victorious moment blaming, but should be down on their knees rejoicing!

Dealing with it, swallowing it, etc. That works for you and me and the 95% of people that were born into lives with the means to deal with catastrophe. Thank God, it looks like Rita missed the highly populated areas it really could have hammered. But I'm wondering, especially with Katrina, do we owe nothing to the 5% that couldn't get out? To anyone that believes in taking away big government and privatizing institutions, you better have thrown a hundred bucks at the relief effort or you are hippocrites.

My point exactly; is we as people should look after each other, insuring that all of our neighbors have been tended to. Government - can only do so much, what they can do is help to evacuate those who they are alerted to that are having difficulties evacuating. I think the Texas local and state governments did a pretty good job about getting people out who wanted out.

Thrown a $100, no I generously gave much more than that. (and I didn't throw it, I gave it with a prayer) and a lump in my throat. I'm not writing that to toot my horn, but to respond to your "hypocrite"accusation of me being a "hypocrite". I ususally keep my giving "private".

I might be a lousy speller, but I never accused you of being a hypocrite. I was speaking to people in general and not to you specifically.

Well Mr. Pot, "She’s also fond of mixing up the terms “your” and “you’re”, yet she criticizes others for their shortcomings. To be fair, she only criticizes those who oppose her views, thereby making her hypocritical yet again. Bravo!"

aren't you criticizing me for my shortcomings?

touche ;)

you said: "In light of all this, where do you get the nerve to criticize a grieving mother for not just sucking up the garbage that she is fed by this administration regarding a war that got her son killed? "

I say:

I call it like I see it! ;)

Maddie, you English whiz, please explain to your readers what “could of” means

I say:

Wish I could today but I could of yesterday! Think I should of?
I would of if your request was from your heart instead of left brain.

You are very hard around the edges, you really should soften up a little, Open Mind.
