In my judgment, when history evaluates George W. Bush's position in the pantheon of presidents, he will be compared with Harry S. Truman. Bush's fortitude in recognizing the danger of Islamic fundamentalism to the U.S. and, indeed, the Western world, and his awareness of the need to win this war of civilizations is remarkable. He deserves the applause of all Americans and in time he will receive it.

I could'nt agree more. When Harry S. Truman left office in 1953 he had a 23% approval rating, now look at how he's veiwed. President Bush has brought our economy back and is fighting the war on terror. Al-Zarqawi DEAD, Saddam Hussein CAPTURED. Unemployment and homelessness historically low. Pundints who think George Bush will go down in history as one of the wrost presidents ever, your wrong, your always wrong.

Well, it hard to dispute the unmeasurable knowledge and experience that a 15 year old brings to the table, but I'll give it a shot.

Bush's desire to win this "war of civilizations" is all fine and dandy, but that does not mean he has gone about it in the right way. Terrorism has only increased since his war in Iraq. Sure, Saddam is captured, but he was not a part of the global terror threat, no matter how many time you tell yourselves that he was. Al-Zarqawi is dead, but he was never a player at all until he found the opportunity to rise among the ranks in the new Terrorist Fantasy Camp know as Iraq. Someone will always emerge to succeed these guys, so where is the true victory?

Dropping bombs will not get rid of terrorism. Only changing our policies towards the exploitation of foreign lands will begin to start the change. Sure, we'll need to knock the crap out of someone along the way, but that has to be done wisely. We can't beat the crap out of a bunch of innocent people and expect that the result will be mindsets that think terrorism is a bad life option.

By the way, shouldn't you be in gym calss right now?

i guess the tape that shows the 911 bombers planning 9/11 during the Clinton administration.....shows how bush has increased terror around the world......

Terror was always there....Bush recognized it and is trying to extinquish it.....

More than others were willing to do.
